People never expected the Worldwide Church of God to become trinitarian again or completely bust into pieces. Thier Ambassador College went belly up too. So maybe Patterson will experience that one day? There is no guarantee that things will remain static forever. Things change by virtue of the fact that leaders change. The Rank and File continue going through the motions though many of thier hearts are not in it. It is becoming a religion of zombies. The young leaders are living in a fantasy that will collapse upon them eventually. C'mon, its been 100 years already!

i still attend a meeting once a week and you can smell the death of the religion creeping up when you hear the talks, read the study wts and hear the letters from the gb.
the way the organization has changed is a sign that it reached its peak (in "healthy" membership) long ago.

by new hope and happiness ini am not much of a reader as i have two many distractions, but i fancy a challenging read, so please list any book that has changed your entire world view on everything.
i remember as a teenager buying at a yard sale, norman vincent peales " the power of positive thinking" and at the time that had a big impact on me.
but i am a little bit more in to " realistic positive thinking" now..

What words has the WT redefined?
by Splash inthese days, virtually every public talk speaker thinks it's interesting and intellectual to include a dictionary definition of some word.
often the word is in common use and needs no explanation, such as 'exercise', or 'knowledge', or whatever.. now contrast that to all of the words that the wt has it's own meaning for, and referencing a dictionary for the common understanding of it would be viewed unfavourably.. words like 'generation' or 'men' (as in jesus is mediator between god and 'men' - 1tim 2:5-6).. what words have the wt redefined that you know about?

The general reception was suspiscion, a sort of "what have we done wrong?" attitude. The attitude of the elders where I was consisted of parenting the flock who were clearly hiding something or unable to make decisions on thier own. No one wanted the visit. Those that wanted one never seemed to be scheduled by the PO. We were strongly admonished to stick to the schedule provided.
